In order to offer our students more in-depth and a wider variety of class levels, we are reducing our enrollment for the 2010/2011 dance year approximately 15%.

This is a reduction of over 35 students!

As many of you are aware, our classes reach capacity very quickly.  For this session, most of our classes were full by April,2009.  We had to place many children on waiting lists for classes throughout this dance year.  We want to make sure that our current students are able to continue their dance education so we are offering those students the opportunity to pre-register for the 2010-2011 season.

We will be holding our 2010-2011 pre-registration for both the Albemarle and Locust studios now through March 1.

What is pre-registration? 

*Each year we allow current students, siblings and those currently on waiting lists to pre-register for classes for the upcoming summer session and dance year.   Our 2010/2011 schedule of classes and will be available by March 15.  Pre-registered students will be allowed to register for these classes March 16-31.   This allows you first choice at your desired classes and times.  Registration will be open to everyone else beginning April 1.   We will hold a registration day, for pre-registered students, at the Albemarle Studio on Saturday, March 21 or you may register during our regular office hours. 

*Pre-registered students who register for classes will also be guaranteed the current 2009/2010 rate plan.  

Pre-registering will not allow you to continue the 08/09 rate plan.

*Pre-registration does not fully register you for summer 10 or 10/11 classes.  It only gives you the opportunity to register early and stay on your current rate plan if you are a current student. You must fully register between, March 16 and April 15- in order to receive these benefits.

*The cost for pre-registration is $15; however, you will receive a $10 credit towards your 10/11 registration costs and you pay no registration fee.  Therefore, you actually receive a $10 for pre-registering.  This fee is non-refundable. 

How to do I know what level to register for?

*When you pre-register, you will not be registering for any specific class(es).  You will be able to request certain days/class times/classes.  We will then take your requests into consideration when scheduling our classes.  When regular registration begins on March 16, we will have recommendations from each of our instructors for current student’s placement for the summer session and 10/11 dance year.  These recommendations will be based on their age, ability, physical development, knowledge of the material and rate of progress throughout this year.  You will be given a copy of the recommendation and an opportunity to schedule an appointment to meet with your child's instructor to discuss their progress and placement.  

How do I pre-register?

*Complete the attached pre-registration form and return to us by March 1st along with $15 or send us an email and we will notify you with further instructions.  There will also be a pre-registration form available in your child's folder.  We will not accept pre-registration after March 1.
